Hello & Welcome! I'm excited to be sharing brand new Bee's Knees Lacquer polishes with you today - these are releasing on 1/1/19 so it's kind of like my first post for the new year!

You may have already noticed one or two changes just in the collage pic - both the logo and the bottle shape got a makeover! Let's focus on what's inside those bottles though, and that's gorgeous polish as usual! The names have an "urban legend" vibe, maybe one of them is from your home state?
Jersey Devil is Totes Ma Goats-a grape based polish with indigo sibling unicorn pee (UP) pigment and iridescent flakes that shift pink to orange and green to purple; $15
This is a jelly base so it was on the sheer side of coverage, I applied 3 coats for my swatches - the abundance of flakes help with making it opaque so you may be able to get away with just 2 coats, especially if VNL isn't too prominent or you keep the nails shorter
Mothman is Lit-a black based polish with red to green Aurora shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift from orange to red to purple; $13
This one could be a one coater even! Application was great, I ended up using 2 coats just to make sure everything was evenly covered, she shimmers and flakes in here ensure it's a complex color! The base may be black but with all the ingredients doing their thing, it's primarily reading as a dark green color to me, with that red to green aurora shimmer being really apparent
The name "Mothman is Lit" made me chuckle and somehow I ended up adding bugs to the nail art!
Monarch Butterfly Wing-a bright orange polish with green to blue sibling UP; $15
This is another jelly based polish - I ended up using 3 coats for pretty good coverage, but please note that I'm currently wearing extensions/overlays so my free edge isn't natural. I used pretty thin coats on the pointer nail and can still see through it but the others were fine with more medium coverage coats. This is such a bright color!! I definitely lack oranges in my polish collection but enjoyed this one immensely.
The shimmer mostly showed green to me but take a look at the bottle shot on this - you'll see the other color lurking!
With a name like "Monarch Butterfly Wing", the nail art is a no-brainer, right!?
Tahoe Tessie is Terrifying-an aqua polish with OG UP pigment and ghost flakes, the larger flakes that shift the same color as OG UP; $18
If you've been to my blog before, you probably picked up on my favorite color..yes, the aqua family! So please forgive me for pictures, I couldn't stop and wanted to make a good effort to show this off!
This one is a crelly base but I didn't have any coverage issues, used 2 medium coats and had no VNL!
Stay tuned for a few more posts! Sarah has been a busy bee as usual, and there's another trio of polishes releasing mid-month, along the usual PPU contribution. This year though, you'll also find BKL in Hella Handmade Creations (HHC)! I'll be sharing that one tomorrow ;)
