Bee's Knees Lacquer; IT-versary Part 2
We're continuing on with the brand new Bee's Knees Lacquer polishes that are releasing 9/1 in honor of their 1 year anniversary! In this post I've got 3 multichromes and 2 flakies to show off. I broke up the collection into 3 posts to keep them from getting too long, I hope you check them all out!
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*
We All Float 3.0-this is as close to the original We All Float as Sarah could make it since some of the ingredients are discontinued. The holo is toned down a little bit but this is the same smoky dark gray base with a bright red to gold aurora shimmer, scattered holo, and gold iridescent flakes
I applied 2 coats for my swatches and top coat. No issues with application or flakies
The base in this one may be grey, but that red/gold shimmer adds a lot of warmth to the polish and to my eyes it reads more of a brownish color, the flakes make it right at home for the fall season!
Pennywise 3.0 - an off-white crelly with gold to green and red to orange aurora shimmer, red to gold multichrome flakes, and red and green iridescent flakes. The red iridescent flakes almost turn it a pale cotton candy pink which felt appropriate
This was a hard one for me to photograph, apparently my camera hates white polishes! There's quite lot packed into this one, shimmer and flakie-wise. I used 2 coats for my swatch, this one definitive felt thicker during application, so keep an eye on that and use thin coats. There is a beautiful aurora shimmer in this, it mostly gave me an orange/gold shimmer impression, which is why I secretly renamed the polish in my head to "PSL"!
See? It's meant to be used for fall manis! I stamped some images from a Bundle Monster plate BM-S207 and colored in with some OPI color paints.
The Turtle - an emerald to pink to purple multichrome in a mid toned gray base. ( It's the green sister to Which Witch Trial )
I applied 2 coats and top coat - I really loved that this was a grey polish, but the multichrome pigment in it made so many colors stand out!
The Dancing Clown - The base of it is ruby red and shifts to orange to gold to green and then you can see a navy blue at the extremes (this is Bonfire, James Bonfire resurrected as an almost one coat multichrome)
I used 2 coats for my swatch pictures, the color payoff is great!! It's an "almost one coater' but I went with 2 to make sure I covered everything evenly
Tasty Fear - a copper to gold to green almost one coat multichrome. You can even see a hint of cyan at the extremes
For my swatches I used 2 coats - now that I'm looking at it again, I'm seeing more brushstrokes in this..so apply carefully, and don't forget a base coat like I did! Alternatively, for those who really want a smooth look, I heard that sponging on a coat will solve the problem too
See that coppery/gold section up front? In some lighting, the whole nail looks that way! Ofc that's the lightning that won't show itself to my camera, but it's definitely not an all green color
That's it for part 2, 1 more to go!
