Bee's Knees Lacquer: Polish Con Fall 2018
Welcome to another post! I hope you're excited to see these swatches - they're beautiful polishes named after Minnesota urban legends! Bee's Knees Lacquer will be attending Polish Con there this weekend and these pretties are the limited edition & VIP polishes!
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*
Let's start off with the VIP polish:
Squatchin Around-a deep raspberry base with a green to silver to purple to blue multichrome shimmer and holo flakes; I used 2 coats for my swatches & top coat - please click through the arrows to see all the pictures. This one wasn't specifically marked as magnetic but I took a magnet to the bottle and there was a little bit of a magnetic effect going on, so it's like a bonus! This polish is in that "sleeper creeper" category - it has a lot of sides and keeps showing you something new!
Pepie-a turquoise jelly with green to blue to purple iridescent flakes and green to blue unicorn pee (UP) sibling pigment. $15; 3 thin coats and top coat for the swatches - 2 thicker coats should work as well, I ended up applying mine thinner than usual and could still see a bit of VNL so I went for that third coat - it really adds depth to the shimmer anyway, and is such a beautiful color! The iridescent flakes are an excellent addition in this <3
Wendigo-a chocolate brown based polish with a blue to purple duo chrome shimmer as well as a gold to green shimmer- $10; the shimmer in this made me think of trying a magnet and surprise, it cam be magnetized! I ended up applying 3 thin coats, the shimmer really lightens the polish and makes it into a caramel color, which becomes more prominent if the shimmer is pulled together with a magnet
While these polishes are limited edition for the event, in the past the LEs have made it online for general purchase so keep an eye out on the brand's page for updates if you aren't attending or using the fairy service to pick these up!
