My Mani Box: Passport to polish

My Mani Box: Passport to polish

My Mani Box: Passport to polish
Hello! Today's blog post is a little different than usual, but contains the familiar things - swatches and nail art! There's many different products in here so let's take a look!
*Products provided as press sample for review*
What I have in my hands in the "My Mani Box" from Beautometry. It's basically a nail art subscription box! You pick your size - regular or XL -this has to do with the stamping plates and the images on them, not the size of the box itself, and then choose if it's a one time purchase or subscription for a certain length of time. Here's what the listing on their website states:

Each month open up a new box filled with the greatest nail art products from all over the world! Your box will contain: -2 MoYou London Stamping plates (XL size for long nails, images approx 2.2cm x 1.6cm;f or shorter nails, images approx 1.5cm x 1.3cm) -1 nail stamping accessory - Additional nail product(s)- can range from 1-3 additional items
"Passport to polish" was the theme for June - so while this box is not available as a box, the products can generally be found on the site if they've been released for sale.

This little blue tube is a Peel Putty - a latex-based cuticle guard; this is scented and when it dries the blue color darkens so you know it's safe to move on to art. The little glass nail file is a travel sized one, and made of Czech glass. I'm sure a lot of us have a full sized file but I was thrilled to see this mini one - I've got a little clamshell nail kit in my purse and hate the metal file it came with, so I promptly tossed it and stuck this baby in!

The Peel Putty in action may look scary, but saves so much effort on clean up and mess!
Hit The Bottle - Spun Gold
Hit The Bottle - Spun Gold  - a stamping polish!! I was excited to see this little gem, and put it to good use testing out the stamping plates in this box
Femme Fatale - Fates Bound Together
Femme Fatale - Fates Bound Together - this is surprise thermal! Well, I'm sure it's intended that way, I just haven't seen it before and when I applied the first coat it sort of faded on the nail bed and left me with tinted tips. I ended up using 3 thin coats to build up the opacity, I love the color and the iridescent flakes in this one!

Time to dive in to the stamping -I used the MYL Mix & Match 13 plate for these simple black stamped images, they gave me a tropical vibe so that's what I tried to do
MoYou London Mix & Match 13
The perk of a thermal polish on longer nails is that it's like a built in gradient ;)

For the next mani I used A England St George and stamped with the zebra print from MYL Mix & Match 13 and Hit The Bottle Spun Gold

For the purple base I used A England Crown of Thistles and stamped with the leopard print from MYL Mix & Match 13 and Hit The Bottle Spun Gold followed by black on top

For the last mani, I used China Glaze Up All Night for my base color - a beautiful dark inky blue which looks almost black, and stamped the marble images from MYL Explorer 33 using white and Hit The Bottle Spun Gold
