Swatch & Art: Tonic Polish - You'll Move Mountains

Hello & Welcome! It's hard to believe that we're in the last days of May - soon to be halfway through the year!! As my birth month is ending...and with it, the more lax shopping I've allowed myself to do ;), it's time to show off some goodies!

30 Days of Colour (May): Green

I'm really behind on the fills for May's challenge but as the linkups are open till end of month, I will try to get them all done!
I actually don't own as much green polish as I thought, so I wanted something more  unique to use from what I do own. This is LynBDesigns Absinthe Part Deux - apparently it's a LE polish  because I had a hard time finding a lot of photos for it. I picked it up in a destash sale a few months ago so I'm even happier to have it in my collection.

Stamping Saturday - Copycat nails

One of the stamping related groups I'm in has a prompt this week for coping a manicure that someone has done with our chosen plate - mine is MoYou London Pro 9 this month! It's a great plate that I haven't given enough attention to, but it proved a bit challenging to find a mani that used those images! I did succeed though, and this is my re-creation :)

#StampingSaturday - Black & Silver Floral

So, I don't own a lot of OPI polishes, but more and more variety of colors has been showing up at Marshall's recently (or maybe I just go there more often, lol) so every now and then I'll come home with a new bottle or two (2 packs for $8!) and the most recent is DS Coronation. There are so many prompts and challenges going on in various FB groups that it's hard to narrow down sometimes, and it being October and pink everywhere for breast cancer awareness, I really wanted pink and silver. But looking at my stamping plates to see what catches my eyes, had to go with the tried and true - Konad Black!
The floral design is from PUEEN SE04B plate.

September Stamping: Day 1 - Flowers

I found out about this challenge in AiS group on FB and would like to attempt it as best as I can for the month of September :)  Details and info can be seen here, and a list of participants over here.
I know I won't be able to do all 30 days, as I'm leaving for vacation soon, and then there's my work restrictions on no nail art..but I'll do what I can, and put my plates and polishes to good use :)
Day 1- Flowers
This look was inspired by nail wraps I saw while out shopping this weekend. I often see pretty designs on them but always think "I bet I can do the same look with stamping"....and then never actually attempt it, lol. This time the inspiration and the prompt were just days apart and I had to try it.

#StampingSaturday

I was still trying to decide on a design to stamp on Saturday when unexpected events happened...didn't get out of bed till noon due to feeling ill, and then going out with friends and missing all the daylight for photos, haha. But at least I was being social!
Sally Hansen Pedal to the Metal MoYou London stamping

Stamping plate MoYou London Pro 4, I swear this design looked better in my head...maybe because my nails are always nubs so the design doesn't have enough space to look as beautiful as it was intended =/
At least I was pleasantly surprised that Sally Hansen Pedal to the Metal stamped enough to be seen :) And I've been planning to use China Glaze Rendezvous with You again <3

Stamping: Lily of the Valley

My favorite flowers that I look forward to in spring are lilacs and lilies of the valley. More than a decade ago, I got a giant bouquet of lilies of the valley for my birthday (it's in May) so when May comes around - I always look for these flowers. To my delight, grandma planted some in our garden!

Not too long ago I got a new stamping plate from Vivid Lacquer (VL019) and it has an image of this flower on it, so in the back of my mind I've been planning on doing this mani. You know how it is - you see a plate or a polish and have a picture in your head of what mani to do and you must have it right away, and the it arrives in the mail and you're happy that you have it - and put it in the box with the rest of the goodies and don't make the mani right away? Yeah...that's been happening a lot, but at least I have a good excuse - no nail art allowed at work, so I have to save it till the weekends </3
White and green were the easy colors, but what background color to use was the hard part. I was leaning towards pastels, but I'm glad I picked this blue instead! After I had applied it, I noticed how well it compliments my sapphire ring, and even hubby agreed it was a good choice <3
