Welcome, welcome! PPU is just around the corner so I might as well get my post up here! The theme is "Red Carpet" and the release is Nov 6-9th

Bee's Knees Lacquer went for a fun interpretation of the theme and created a stunning shimmer polish!

Inspiration: the meme of King Joffrey and the Purple Wedding

Swatches show 2 coats + top coat; the shimmer is abundant in this and almost feels like it's a golden polish instead of purple - but the base color still shows through

I don't usually add nail art to the PPU polishes, to keep the focus on the product, but I really wanted to attempt something this time to resemble the inspiration picture.

I initially wanted to find a rich brocade type if image but realized it would obscure the base polish, so I went for a more open design in a grey color. After all, the costumes on the show are gorgeous!

And just because I was already at it, why not add a matte top coat as well - fabric is rarely glossy in real life!
