Bee's Knees Lacquer - Lovecraft Country
Welcome, welcome!! I hope you're excited to see the swatches of the next collection from Bee's Knees Lacquer! There are 9 polishes and they will be released 10/23/2020 at noon EST!
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*
Unlike the recent pre-order style of launches you've seen from Bee's Knees Lacquer - this release will not follow that format. Since all of these polishes contain unicorn pee (UP), this is a somewhat capped release - treat it as a finite amount and get those ninja fingers ready! This also means shipping will be quick and you might be wearing new colors in time for Halloween!
Shoggoth - a deep, vampy purple filled with green to blue sibling UP. The darker sister to Concilium. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; this was a surprise!! I thought it was blue like navy blue in the bottle but is a deep purple jelly once you start applying it! Awesome base for the shimmers to show through!
Kumiho - a deep red polish filled with green to blue sibling UP. The base color is similar to Dragon Heartstring but the UP is a larger particle. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; red!! I always end up loving the reds Sarah makes! It's a pretty pigmented jelly and the shimmer is still really visible in it
Hippolyta - a deep, purple tinted gray full of green to blue sibling UP. $14
Swatches show 4 coats + top coat; this is one I made a booboo with... I was multitasking *cough*conference call*cough* and applied a 4th coat on accident... I didn't want to waste UP, so I went ahead and took pictures. But I'm not gonna lie...I LOVE the fuller coverage it gave me! I know UP shines best in a sheer base, and some shudder at the though of 4 coats, but that's what happened and I'm keeping it!
The Siren - a stormy blue full of OG (red to green) UP. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; this one is in my top picks for favorites out of the collection, but then again, I do prefer blues and teals and this is a good one for so much mermaid/ocean types of looks
Cthulu Rising - an olive green full of OG (red to green) UP. $14
Swatches are 3 coats + top coat; this name alone should be enough to buy the polish!! But it helps if you like green/olive polishes too! It's a great fall color, but if I wear it again as a full mani, I'll probably look for undies with this for a more opaque look
Conjuration - butternut squash orange with gold to green sibling UP. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; another staple in the fall color palette! This one is really pigmented and bright
Invulnerability - a chartreuse polish with green to blue sibling UP. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; this one is the most sheer of the lot, as you can tell by my super apparent VNL, but it is a unique color! It almost felt like nail art - highlighter yellow French tips!
Metamorphosis - requested by Faith, this is a tawny pumpkin full of gold to green sibling UP. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; this one's got good coverage and I almost didn't see VNL, and it's such a lovely and delicate color! It looks more like a peachy pink on me
Protection - a mid-toned purple with red undertones and full of OG (red to green) UP. $14
Swatches show 3 coats + top coat; now this is a classic combo of a purple color and OG UP - somehow they just go together so well and they're always a favorite!
I hope you find the swatches useful in your list making!
These look amazing. Loving the orange and yellow :-D
