Bee's Knees Lacquer - A Court of Thorns and Roses; Part 2
I've got Part 2 of the massive new collection coming from Bee's Knees Lacquer on 6/22 - inspired by A Court of Thorns and Roses. This will be 8 polishes so lets dig in!
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*
Void - one coat black cream; this is such a good black! One coaters are wonderful, and this one even stamps!
Hope - an iridescent shimmery top coat filled with a rainbow of colors. Pairs beautifully with Void, so I applied just 1 coat of it over Void to demonstrate
The Mittengard Wyrm-a champagne super holo polish with some added red to gold shimmer ; just 2 coats and the holo on this is blinging! Sarah's not kidding about "super holo"!
High Lady of the Night Court-inspired by Feyre, this is an indigo jelly full of aurora shimmer, scattered holo, and gold/orange/gree iridescent flakes. I used 2 coats, the color would be deeper with a third one due to the jelly nature. but I didn't have major VNL so I left it at 2
Thorns and All-inspired by Tamlin, this is a bright spring green jelly full of orange to green aurora shimmer and orange/red/blue iridescent flakes. This is another jelly and I was completely smitten with it, and went ahead with applying that third coat that made me drool all over (random tidbit - at the time of swatching, I was just getting into the story and still liked Tamlin at that point so was all "yay!" about the polish ahaha)
I've Been Looking for You-inspired by my favorite character, Rhys, this is a blackened navy with scattered holo and iridescent flakes that flash a rainbow of colors. Ooh la la..this is just 2 coats and it's basically the night sky in a bottle *o*
She Would Not Go Gently-inspired by Nesta, this is a pink/gold/green multichrome with a pink to orange magnetic shimmer and glowing gold to orange iridescent flakes. *magnetic* I applied this in two coats, magnetizing the second one with a regular magnet to get the line effect, or is it properly called cat eye? Anyway, the line did show up pinkish/orange but the polish is wonderful even without the magnet, I love all the flakes here and the color shifts
You're Free-inspired by Mor, this magnetic polish has more than meets the eye. It looks like a molten penny when unmagnetized but changes to a dark cyan/blue/purple/copper multichrome with a gold and orange magnetic shimmer. *magnetic* So this one...a total surprise! Without the magnet, it reminded me of milk chocolate, but with the magnet, wowza! I used an arc magnet for these swatches (bought from Lantern & Wren while there was still some in stock, but there's been talk that it's been dc'ed by that manufacturer and also talk of another brand to start carrying one - so there's still hope to acquire one!) I instantly sent pics to all my friends while swatching, like "look at dis! I made it!!" I mean, I've used the magnet before but this is the first time my jaw dropped open lol
I'm getting pretty close to finishing the second book in the series, so I'm happy that I've met every character that inspired this collection! I've shared Part 1 of the collection (7 colors) so be sure to look at them as well, if you're a fan of ACOTAR maybe you'll be drawn to the polishes on the basis of liking the characters! Mark your calendar for 6/22 if you're planning on picking up any of these! The Mittengard Wyrm-a champagne super holo polish with some added red to gold shimmer ; just 2 coats and the holo on this is blinging!
