Bee's Knee's Lacquer - See It All Connects!
Hello & Welcome! I've got a few new polishes to share - soon to be releasing from Bee's Knees Lacquer - so let's start with one today!
*Polish provided as press sample for review*
August Polish Pickup Pack will have a lot of participants and goodies
for everyone, and I have one to share with you all today - this is Bee's Knees Lacquer contribution - See It All Connects!
If pretty polish isn't enough to sway you, then maybe the inspo will
suck you in -the theme is "musicals" and this is based on The Office
episode "Andy's Play" when Andy performs in the Sweeney Todd play.See It All Connects! -inspired by Andy's costume as well as the lights on stage, this is a midnight blue polish full of green/blue/purple magnetic multichrome flakes and dense holo flakes. Looks beautiful magnetized or unmagnetized.
For the set of pics above - I used 2 coats + topcoat, unmagnetized. I love love love this color! I had a big decision to make last weekend - what do I put on my nails for The Indie Shop? I didn't get to make up my mind, as I swatched this last Friday it was an instantaneous feeling of "I HAVE to wear this" - it's now Friday again and guess what's on my nails still? Yup, this polish! Maybe "mermaid" is what you're thinking while looking at this, and I thought that too, and I think it definitely fits! Whatever inspires or draws you in, get the polish, it's gorgeous irl - photos can never truly capture everything.
Above is the magnetized version - I just added a third coat to my swatch and applied the magnet to it, but I think if your final destination is the magnetized version then 2 coats would suffice. Of course, 1 coat over black undies would do the trick too. I felt like this was a "grown up mermaid" - the base deepened and darkened and the green flash was more often visible.
The stamped art isn't related to the theme but I really liked the color scheme. For The Indie Shop I only had accent nails done (yes, plural, because Cindy is wearing this polish too and has art! It's a super rare event!) but for my "final" version I wanted more art to tie in all the nails. So I went with this Great Wave look using Messy Mansion stamping plate MM09 (my first indie stamping plate!) and Clear Jelly Stamper Veil Of Old Japan plate. Stamping polishes are BornPretty Store White, Black, Grey; the blue used to color in the images is none other than Sally Hansen Pacific Blue <3
