Bee's Knees Lacquer - Would You Kindly
Welcome to today's post! I'm excited to share an upcoming color from Bee's Knees Lacquer - this is their June 2018 contribution to Polish Pickup Pack!
*Polish provided as press sample for review*
I have the pleasure and opportunity to be working with Bee's Knees Lacquer to show some upcoming polishes from them! Starting with the first one to be available June 1st - 4th through Polish Pickup Pack.
I feel that I need to share a bit of info first, to help explain how this works in case anyone isn't familiar. I took this straight from the FAQ on the website:
CONCEPT: Each month Polish Pickup will bring you a variety of polishes from indie makers based on a theme voted on by you. Indie makers can come and go as they please, and all are welcome.
HOURS: Shop is live the first Friday, 11 AM EST, of each month and stays open for four days, through the following Monday at Midnight EST. This is the ONLY time frame in which the monthly polishes will be available for purchase.
SHIPPING: All polishes are pre-ordered and will ship approximately 3 weeks after the sale closes. Makers have 10 days to ship polishes to Polish Pickup. Polish Pickup aims to have all orders shipped within one week after all polishes are received on-site.Polish Pickup ships for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 for Canada. We ship internationally at cost.
Would You Kindly - golden red polish with red & orange aurora shimmer, orange to gold iridescent flakes and a surprise yellow magnetic shimmer; when a magnet is applied, the polish turns a bright Adam red; the inspiration for this polish is drawn from the Bioshock games, and ADAM is a substance there
Cap: 150
Price $12.00
I used 2 coats for full opacity. The polish has good pigmentation and applied well without issues. The flakes really pop when magnet is applied - the magnet pulls the yellow shimmer and leaves a reddish base behind, which contrasts the flakes really well
I'm liking all of these recent "advanced" magnetic polishes (as compared to the old mainstream ones being "basic") but I'm learning that there's a lot of variation in applying the magnet. Like this thumb pic - I totally held the magnet in a straight diagonal line. But it didn't come out straight, it's like a lightning bolt! The Potter fan in me is secretly rejoicing ahah
However you apply the magnet, or even if you don't, you'll get a great mani with this polish! Gold tones aren't ones I'm drawn to but more and more, I'm feeling like I've been limiting myself when I experience great ones like this! This polish will have a capped quantity, so get there early if you'd like a bottle!
