Swatch & Art: Tonic Polish - Chasing Concrete

Tonic Polish - Chasing Concrete

Tonic Polish Chasing Concrete Succulent nail art

Hello and welcome! The excitement of The Digit-al Dozen week is over, but swatches and nail art will continue here. Today's design is one I'm very excited to share and hope you enjoy!! Succulents are pretty popular and I couldn't resist.

*Polish provided as press sample for review*

Tonic Polish Chasing Concrete - a very pale matte gray with red/orange to yellow shifting aurora shimmers and iridescent flakes

Guys, this polish!! I can't get over the flakies in it, so forgive the obsessive bottle shots, I promise I'll get to the pics.

This polish is actually matte and this first pic shows just 1 coat over my nude overlays. I ended up with 2 coats and top coat for the rest of the swatch pictures but you can see the matte version below

It's a thicker formula and is intended to be that way, but applied well and I had zero clean up to do!
This is a great way to wear a neutral that isn't boring, and I've already seen this shade being used as an undie color for a unicorn pee topper!

As for art, it would look good with black, and I've been mentally planning this mani long before I got this polish! I used black stamping polish and plate BP-158 from Bornpretty Store, and the wood planks image. I love this so much. One of my very first manis on the blog was wood grain and I've done it more than once. It's still a favorite pattern for me and I don't cease getting excited when I see it on a stamping plate.

But the job isn't done yet! I have lovely succulents to plant here. I used a new plate from Bundle Monster Desert Rose S326 - there's a recent collection and has 2 succulent plants. S326 is full of singular images and so I made some reverse stamped cuties and arranged them together on the nail.

I used several Tonic polishes to color in. Among them are Promise of Spring,  Sophia, Foxfire, Lunar Lust and Sweet Pea. Tonic Polish Chasing Concrete succulent nail art
I hope you liked the nail art, I actually got 6 new succulents when I stopped by a nursery "just to look" the other day. And with new stamping plates in hand, I've got to do more manis with them!
