Tonic Polish - Cerise Noir
I have a super quick post to share tonight, and of course I couldn't help but add a little bit of art to it, so let's see what's in the bottle!
*Polish provided as press sample for review*
I'll say it right off the bat - this is a Tonic Polish custom color for a FB group Black Hearted Beauties. It was only available for a short window of time so likely will be a hard to find one if you weren't a member of the group and snagged a bottle. I wanted to show it off anyway, even though the pics come pretty last minute on the final day of availability.Cerise Noir - black base with right pink shifty aurora shimmers and iridescent flakes, 2-3 coats for opacity. For my swatches I used just 2 coats and I like to apply my coats a bit on the thicker side. You'll also see a shorter nail length than I've had lately, and self consciousness aside - dark colors look good on shorties, don't they? ;)
This baby is not lacking in the flakes department! Look at them all, and the pink shimmer, definitely adds a new dimension to a black polish!
I can't help it with the bottle shots, they just show off the ingredients so nicely! You can see a gold/green shift happening at the edge there even
When customs are made, typically people submit pretty pictures and voting takes place and the polish to be created is based on the winning piece - I believe in this case, a beautiful burnt roses (ash roses?) was the winner. So I went for rose nail art using plate 1-02 from Uber Chic Beauty, and stamping polish from Esmaltes da Kelly in a gold shade called C-3PO
I have 4 gold stamping polishes and they're all of different colors! This one is so bold and pigmented, I love it!
