Bee's Knees Lacquer - ACOTAR 2020; Pt 2
Hello & Welcome! We're more than halfway through July so it's time to show off the next installment of ACOTAR inspired nail polishes from Bee's Knees Lacquer! Launch day is 7/31/2020 at noon EDT!
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*
This is a set of 8 pearlescent multichromes, they can be worn solo, over a tinted base coat if you've got one handy, over a creamy neutral base - Possessed and Pinky are both good choices, or layered over anything else you might like! A black base of course, will give you the most dramatic look - check out Night Triumphant at the very end!
There are a lot of swatch pics to cram into this post, so let's get to it!
Welcome to the Family - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a mid-toned green that shifts from gold to blue to indigo at the extremes; $13
3 coats + top coat; this was my #1 pick from the collection, I just love this color and the shifts to blue to shows
Next 3 pics are in a lightbox - look at how soft the color gets!
Illyrian Baby - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a deep peachy pink that shifts to orange to gold to green. (Shiftier than Lele); $13
3 coats + top coat; it feels redundant to be saying it as these are meant to be multichromes, but look at all the color shifts!! This is not usually my preferred color family, but this is such a delicate peachy/gold color that I can't help loving it!
When I Kill, I do it Slow - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a deep marigold that shifts from ruby to orange to gold to green at the extremes; $13
3 coats + top coat; what a fun and bright color! Those green shifts are not shy at all, and I bet this would be even bolder over a dark base if you care to try layering.
Only You Can Decide What Breaks You - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a rose gold that shifts to orchid to gold to green to blue at the extremes; $13
3 coats + top coat; I don't even know what to say about this...other than I loved it!! The color shifts make this a real chameleon but I think I secretly prefer the soft look from the diffused light box.
Prick - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is an aqua that shifts to purple to pink to gold at the extremes. (Shiftier than Stay With the High Lord); $13
3 coats + top coat
A Dreamer Born Into the Court of Nightmares - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a a golden yellow that shifts to green to blue to purple at the extremes. (Shiftier than the Oracle); $13
3 coats + top coat
Feyre, Darling - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a vibrant blue that shifts from cobalt to indigo to red at the extremes. (Shiftier than Prince of the Chasm); $13
3 coats + top coat
Night Triumphant - a brighter, bolder version of our pastel and pearlescent multichromes, this is a deep violet that shifts to indigo to red to gold at the extremes; $13
4 coats + top coat; this one was a tricky polish, and instantly reminded me of Nessian - it's a sort of "barely there" color that packs a ton of shimmer and is intensified the more coats you add
Check out the transformation over a black base! That's 1 coat of Void + 1 coat of Night Triumphant
Launch day is 7/31/2020 at noon EDT!
