#31DC2017: Day 5 - Blue

#31DC2017 - Blue

Tonic Polish Manna's Mystical Masterpiece Fluid Art
Welcome back to another color prompt for the #31DC2017 month! Finding a blue is never a challenge in my collection, but I really want to be showing untried ones, so here is one!
As you can see from the label, this color was released as part of the Color Box when they had a "blue" prompt. Tonic Polish later on released the color individually but it is no longer available as part of their regular stock. And if you just want to see the fluid art - it's at the end!
Tonic Polish Manna's Mystical Masterpiece
Manna's Mystery Masterpiece - a cobalt blue duochrome that shifts to purple with a fine holographic finish

This is one of those that I definitely show to my husband and ask what color he's seeing, he answered "purple" - but it's both due to the shift, so it's a trick question!

I only needed 2 coats for opaque coverage on this! In Typical Tonic fashion, application is a breeze and the pigmentation is awesome so getting away with 1 coat is a possibility!

The linear holo effect is strong in this one!!

With direct light, it absolutely glows, and just reconfirms my love for blues <3

And if you came here to see the nail art....well..no delaying, here it is!

Tonic Polish Manna's Mystical Masterpiece Fluid Art
I'm just showing one of my "marbles" - I made multiple ones via the drip marble technique. Sometimes the polishes spread really well and you get a bit one, other times there's only enough "good" area for 1 nail. I have my original post on the drip marble here - if you aren't familiar with it.

The post may be featuring MMM, but I got a few more Tonic polishes involved in the drip marble - Luminescent and Happy Beginning. Can you spot them?
If you saw my red fluid marble, you'll know I'm using special Sinful Colors transforming topcoats to achieve this fluid nail art look - the blue one is called Rebel Rebel and is the one responsible for the "cells" forming. Additional SC polishes I added were Snow me White and Casablanca. I feel like using more colors give a cooler effect!

Check out everyone that added their design to the link up! I'll be catching up on posts tomorrow, but if you follow me on IG - I've been posting the designs there first!
