Stamping Saturday: Wallpaper gradient

This Stamping Saturday I wanted to do another gradient design that I've had in my head for a while. I think the inspiration came from nail wraps I saw a long time ago, blue to black gradient with aqua damask-like print. So here's my attempt at it!
*Purchased by me**Affiliate links*
I did blue/black gradient not too long ago, with the mermaid scale design. End result didn't show the gradient colors so I wanted to do it again and not cover up this time. Well, not cover it completely at least!
The blue is one of my favorites, Bonita My Avatar - I've used it for a Swatch & Art post before, so I didn't include a swatch of it alone this time. The black is a trusty China Glaze Liquid Leather. I've used the protective latex barrier (Item# 22612from BPS again to help minimize the cleanup when I sponged on the gradient.
When I stamped my design, I used two different stampers for it. My middle nail was being a rebel and giving me troubles with the design not fitting so I had to use a little trick that my super soft stampers are capable of - stretching or enlarging the design. Now that I'm looking at the pictures, I see that I grabbed a bad stamper. I ruined it's surface when I primed it, so it's all broken up and doesn't transfer crisp images anymore, instead it has this textured look now...maybe it would work better with textile prints? I just can't bring myself to toss it and feel guilty for mistreating it.
Anyways, back to the design! Stamping polish is MdU Aqua and plate is from BornPretty Store, BP-L007.
I really do like their rectangle plates, I haven't had any issues with etching. There's a good variety of designs - single images as well as full nail designs for both shorter and longer nails. It's been a while since they released a large number of plates so I'm curious what new goodies they're planning this year :)
I have another gradient design on my nails now, but because I snoozed this weekend, the linkup for HPB gradients has closed. I'd still like to show the mani sometime this week :)

If making a purchase through BornPretty Store, I'd appreciate if you used my 10% off code KOIG10 if it applies to your order!
