Swatch & Review: Tonic Polish - Happenstance

Tonic Polish - Happenstance

Tonic Polish Happenstance
Up next is another brand new colors from Tonic Polish, a new addition to the "unicorn pee" pigment family.

Happenstance - this is the same recipe as a previous UP color called Serendipity, a purple with red-gold-green unicorn pee pigment, but this has the addition of iridescent flakes added; jelly finish that's opaque in 2 medium coats or 3 thin ones

This beauty is on the reddish end of purple, which makes it so hard to pass on any of these new releases (I blogged about Bauble yesterday)

For these swatches I applied 2 thicker coats just to deposit more flakes on the nail, as you can see from the bottle, it's packed with flakes!

I was hesitant to art this, but knew I'd regret not even trying, so here's my subtle art.

I used a vinyl with stars, stuck the vinyl on my silicone mat and painted it with black gel - peel & cure, then burnished in a holo powder. Which just looks silver here, grrr. I applied a sticky base coat and carefully stuck the stars on. I like the 3D look they got, cuz..well...they were 3D hahahaTonic Polish Happenstance
I doubt the start would last long, even if I drowned them with a couple of layers of top coat. I hypothesize they would eventually start snagging and falling off, but they looked cool while on.

And just as with Bauble yesterday, I put up a quick comparison of other Tonic colors

Happenstance is another one of the polishes that will only be available until the end of February, and limited to 1 per person. Estimated shipping time is 2-3 weeks from date of order.
