2 coats + top coat for swatches; there's a lot going on with this polish! Not only is it pinky-gold, it's multichrome and even shows off a greenish side, but those gold flakes are so amazing!! I'm usually all about silver, but the gold flake ingredient just looks so luxurious! Absolutely no pokey flakes and pretty much a smooth texture once top coat is in place
