Bee's Knees Lacquer - The Thirteen
Hello & Welcome! I'm wrapping up the swatches of Bee's Knees Lacquer "The Thirteen" collection, which is inspired by Throne of Glass! For fans of ToG, or just fans of polish, take a peek at what's coming soon - the launch is set for this Friday, 3/27, noon EST!

Vesta - known for her vibrant red hair, this polish is a dark olive with bright red shimmer. $11
3 coats + top coat for swatches; I feel like I got converted somewhere down the line...I didn't even blink at the color, was just "oh yay, an olive!"As usual, Sarah makes great color selections and all of the shimmers stand out. Great application and color pay off, you'd probably get away with just 2 coats on shorter nails
Fallon - the other half of the green-eyed demon twins, this is a smoky navy with bright green to pink shimmer. $11
2 coats + top coat; this one's got a very prominent green shimmer that made the color look more greyish on me, with a hint of golden pink shimmer peeking through as well
Briar - the other half of Manon's shadow scouts, Briar dyed her hair black for nighttime scouting so this is a black jelly with green to blue sibling ghost flakes. $14
3 coats + top coat; it's a jelly so naturally my super prominent VNL shows itself, but if you don't mind the sheerness, it works really well to have all the flakies float and do their ghosty thing!
Kaya - a milk chocolate polish with glowing blue to purple shimmer, to reflect the colors of her and Kaya's eyes. $11
3 coats + top coat; this was a surprise beauty! I though it was going to stay sheer, but in 3 coats it built up good coverage and the shimmer was very obvious here. I think if the base was brownish originally, add all that shimmer, and it's more of a mauve to my eyes. Really feminine and something I'd reach for to wear if I'm not swatching
Linnea - an indigo jelly with OG UP ghost flakes that flash red to green. $14
3 coats + top coat; another jelly in this set - this time a classy purple to hold the UP ghost flakes
Ghislaine - a sea foam green polish with added green shimmer. $11
3 coats + top coat; a delicate color that's perfect for spring! It reads more of a pale blue to me, with the green shimmer popping
