Bee's Knees Lacquer - April 2019 Release

Bee's Knees Lacquer - April 2019 Release

Hello, hello! Welcome to another post featuring an upcoming release from Bee's Knees Lacquer! As usual, the release is on the 1st of the month at noon EST - mark your calendars!
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*

I was pretty excited when I opened up my swatch package to see a beautiful rainbow of colors - somehow, it's like a sign that spring is coming! I'm not a big fan of hot weather and the sun, but bright colors always have a place on my nails!

The launch will have 6 cremes and 2 toppers - I swatches the toppers over every color but only on 2 nails so pay attention to the differences!

I Have nothing to Prove - a very dense green to gold unicorn pee (UP) sibling topcoat inspired by Captain Marvel; $15.00 (swatched on index and middle nails)

Higher Further Faster - a very dense green to blue unicorn pee (UP) sibling topcoat inspired by Carol and Maria of Captain Marvel; $15.00 (swatched on ring and pinky nails)

For all of the cremes I used 2 coats + topcoat; application was wonderful and I felt that the purple and blue were nearly opaque in one coat

Reality - a pastel red polish inspired by the Reality stone; $8.00

While it might seem that cremes are...well, basic, they're actually an important part of any polish addict's collection! They do the work of undies and they lay down great bases for nail art as well as reverse stamping! And I personally feel that there's more pressure on a creme polish to be good - it doesn't have the ooh and ahh effects of added ingredients, it has to rely just on color and formula, and Sarah made some good cremes! The first one I applied was Space and I was instantly recalling the first time I wore Pacific Ocean - I even grabbed it from my stash to see how close they were. Not a dupe, but I might be pairing them up for nail art anyway! I was getting ambitious and even planned gradients and maybe a watermarble!  I may still get around to trying those - I've not done much nail art lately as I've been watching the slow progress of growing my canvas out from nubs. But these cremes might be the push I need to get back into it!
