Bee's Knees Lacquer - March 2019 Release
Hello there! We've got the March release fast approaching for some new Bee's Knees Lacquer polishes, so let's take a look, shall we?
*Polishes provided as press samples for review*
These polishes are an expansion to the core Arcana collection, so if you liked those and need more, make a list!Duke and Duchess Most Perverse-an unusual pale brown with green to red shimmer, iridescent flakes that shift blue to indigo and orange to red. This one is technically a magnetic but you don't necessarily need to magnetize it. $13
For my swatches I applied 3 coats as it's on the sheer side; I mostly had strong green shimmer showing up, it's a unique color combination and I'd say it falls into that "prugly" category that some really enjoy
She Who Harrows-a pale peach with two types of ghost flakes: original unicorn pee (OG UP) flakes and green to blue sibling flakes. The perfect peach for spring! $15
I went for 2 medium coats with this one -it's a crelly base with the flakies adding sparkle. I liked this one even in 1 coat, it can be a neutral/nude look and definitely a good pick for spring!
Master of Alchemy-a much requested, very limited mystery bag polish from January. An amethyst polish full of OG UP. No undies needed for this one! $15
There's a good reason UP pigment is often paired with purple bases - because it's STUNNING!! When I wear this, I am #teampurple, but don't tell that to the blue polish in this release, I'll beg forgiveness and pledge my loyalty, but really, this baby deserves to go in your cart! I used 2 coats for the swatches, did not feel like undies were needed, as per description, but of course you're free to put some on to stretch the mileage!
The Consecrator-a deep blue that borders on turquoise with a red to green shimmer and a rainbow of iridescent flakies. $13
I used 2 coats for the swatches, and looking at pics now, the visible nail line is a bit too visible, but irl, between the shimmer and the flakes, it wasn't an issue. This has like a teal jelly base so if the free edge is opaque, the jelly will be looking a little thin. Add another coat and no problems! I thought this would be my #1 pick - I mean, awesome green shimmer AND flakies?!
Ruler of the Deep-the dark moody sister to Glaciomancy, this is a navy polish absolutely loaded with green to blue ghost flakes. $15
I used 3 thin coats of this squishy jelly and am definitely #teamblue! The ghost flakies primarily show green but if you can catch the blue shift, oh be still my heart! I've got a pic of that in action ;) The blue/green ghost flakes are my favorite element in the recent polishes Sarah has been making <3
I hope you enjoyed them and plan to pick some up! If jellies aren't your cup of tea, Bee's Knees Lacquer has released crelly undies in the past that would work for layering, try them out and see if you find a new favorite combo!
Mark your calendars, 3/1/19 noon EST - these 5 polishes will be released, as well as a new mystery bag - this time it will contain 3 NEW, never before seen polishes! (Previously mystery bags had 2 new polishes and 1 previous release)
