The North Remembers

I love Game of Thrones, so when I stumbled upon a polish collection based on the novels, I couldn't be happier. This is also my first indie polish, and first thermal polish!! The Etsy shop is called "Novel Nail Polish" and the first one I got is white to red, The North Remembers.

Julep Cameron

Julep Cameron - silver lilac stardust (matte glitter) is one of February's colors from Julep, and the finish is new. It felt similar to a sand texture, but there is some variation between finer and coarser finishes. Some I can wear by themselves sans topcoat, but I felt like making this one glossy. For the french tips I used Julep Glam Roc - midnight purple & gold stardust. And some stripping tape. 

V-day Nails - Icy Kisses

I remember pinning a mani like this, with the matte black and metallic kisses, and I wanted to do it myself. I ordered the BM-303 plate with the kisses design some time ago, was (not so) patiently waiting for February. And then once I get my stamping supplies out, I realize that the image is bigger than what I had in my head :( I wanted to do two kisses on one nail, but there was no way that's going to happen. I never before considered my nails to be small, but maybe they are...I know for sure they're always short, but not big enough to fit an image? :(  Maybe there are other plates with smaller kisses..I'll have to look around.

Dynasty Vase Entry

 I almost missed this challenge in a facebook group if it wasn't extended, and I happily got out my stamping plates and tried to find a vase to match them :) After some perusing of google I found this one, called "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove." 

Husband's Choice: Ally

Julep Ally

So with my ever-growing polish collection, I'm often conflicted about picking colors for a mani. So then I harass my husband to help me with more than "whatever you like" and actually pick one. And of course he'll pick the colors that I don't have design ideas for and then I stare at the polish, thinking "oh..okay..maybe I should have picked it myself, I don't know what to do with this.." But he really loves blues, and I have only 4-5 since I rarely wear blues, so it's time to try it. I might have gotten this in a mystery box, so not an intentional buy, which is good because it's now out of stock!

The Sunday challenge in AiS was Chinese New Year, and I'm glad I have plates to be able to participate in the look!
