MoYou Pro 07, Julep Alaina, Konad Black |
I seem to have developed an addiction to nail polish! I'm constantly talking about polish and browsing swatches and reviews. So I decided to get a blog for posting my own attempts at nail art and designs, and to give my hubby a break from having to listen to me blab all the time :) Of course, nail polish isn't ALL I'm interested in, so I think other topics and posts will creep up in here as well!

Black Calla (Stamping)
This is a design I had in mind when I ordered the MoYou plates, and just got around to doing it. By "just" I mean a few days ago so there's tip wear already and I just now took pictures, heh.
For the base I used Julep's Alaina, described as "Driftwood taupe crème" and that's exactly the color I had in mind, but of course in my mind my nails were longer and cuticles in perfect shape :(

New CICI & SISI Stamping: Set 1, part 1
Pretty excited about this new set, it just popped up out of the blue one day!
Love the plate holder that comes with it :D It was a bonus, along with the stamper and scraper and some decals.

Purple & Silver
I wanted to try a different accent finger instead of using the ring finger, and I think I like it, I'll just need to try more design to them in the future.

Will it stamp? Well? Well!?
I had to borrow a nail polish from my mom and realized that I don't own all the polish in the house...my sister has quite a few that are hers. So I asked to see them, so I could check if any of them stamp well. Surprisingly, she has Pure Ice polishes, and I don't have a single one of those! Annnd a bunch of random ones.
Initially I swatched some black polish on paper to see how colors would stamp over black, and then I saw one of my many Julep boxes hanging around at my desk...so I used it to test on :)

And then I stuck stickers on the polishes that stamped well enough, so I don't have to repeat the process again.
And now I have a cute box, haha.

NOTD - Wood Grain
I was happy to discover I had a wood grain design on one of my stamping plates (Cheeky, plate D), so I didn't have to buy a plate just for that design :)

Mermaid Nails (FB Challange)
I got a new Zoya polish, and just as it started to have major tip wear, a "mermaid nails" challenge came up in a facebook group, so I decided to patch them up and do something mermaid-like.
