Mark your calendars for January 31, at noon EST - Bee's Knees Lacquer is launching a 12 piece collection inspired by ships (relationships) - those characters in books or shows that you root for, whether they're together in cannon or just in the fandom ;)

"I Ship It" is also not the official name of the collection but I couldn't help myself - there is a song on YouTube with that name by notliterally and I seem to pull it up every few months lol

12 is a pretty sizable amount, and because so many of these can show a totally different face with some undies, I decided to swatch some over black and share that in a separate post to not confuse anyone. Let's dive in!

Azlain [ACOTAR] - inspired by Azriel and Elain, this is a gold to green to pink pastel multichrome $12

I used 3 coats for swatches + top coat, there was just a hint of VNL at that point but if you absolutely can't stand it, throwing on some pink or nude undies will fix the issue...or black, and transform the whole polish!

Nessian [ACOTAR] - inspired by Nesta and Cassian, this is a pale periwinkle with lilac to royal purple shimmer $12

This was another 3 coater and a tricky one! The purple shimmer is really prominent and the base is so pale and milky that it makes you wonder what kind of alien creature Sarah bled dry to get this extracted and bottled! VNL was also noticeable for me.

Feysand [ACOTAR] - inspired by Feyre and Rhysand, this is a smoky charcoal with green to pink shimmer and holo flakes. $12 (This is Sarah's #1 favorite ship!)

2 beautiful coats + top coat and you can pretend this is the official color nail polish work in the Night Court! I bet Feyra has dresses like this ahah

Lysaedion [ToG] - inspired by Lysandra and Aedion, a ghost leopard gray polish with green to blue sibling ghost flakes. $14 (This is Sarah's #2 favorite ship!)

This is 3 coats + top coat for swatches; the polish still shows a hint of VNL on me

Darklina [Grishaverse] - inspired by the Darkling and Alina, a black polish full of gold to green sibling ghost flakes. $14

3 coats + top coat, this is a jelly based polish with a generous amount of flakes. Sarah had a Grishaverse inspired mystery collection in Dec and the overpours are now up for sale starting 1/31. When she initially mentioned the ships collection, I gave her a bunch of suggestions from the Grishaverse and we laughed how it would just be Grishaverse 2.0 at that point. But I stumbled on to these books last year and have no immediate plans to move on to another fandom, especially when Netflix is going to put out a show!

Maladya [Wicked Saints] - inspired by Nadya and Malachiasz, this is a black based polish with red to green magnetic pigment and OG UP ghost flakes $14

2 coats + top coat; when I was swatching, I totally missed the fact that there is a magnetic element in there and so this is the regular non-magnetized look, which is still pretty but know that you can play with a magnet on this one too

I personally really like this ship, but since the book only came out in 2019, there isn't a lot of fandom stuff and we couldn't find out what the official name for these two characters is! I suggested Maladya, maybe it will stick!

Dramione [Harry Potter] - inspired by Draco and Hermione, this is a fiery red polish with golden green shimmer and a scattering of silver holo flakes. $12

2 coats + top coat; this is such a bright and pretty color! What it looks like varies from pinkish to orange, on the first coat it was definite a vibrant pink for me!

I'm gonna have to own up to this one as it's one of my personal favorite ships. I was really surprised when I read the polish details and it mentioned me by name! Oops, I must have shared too much fanfiction with Sarah for her to do that ahah

Briemund [GoT] - inspired by Brienne and Tormund, this is a golden green to purple pastel multichrome full of icy silver microflakes. $12

2 coats + top coat; and we are getting into the pastel multichromes! This one I called "sage green chrome" in my notes when I was swatching, but you should really see it with some undies! [I'll link the blog post]

Finnpoe [Star Wars] - inspired by Finn and Poe Dameron, this is an orange to green pastel multichrome with light and dark gold flakes. $12

3 coats + top coat; if you're a fan of gold polishes, don't overlook this one! There is so much flake in the polish that it looks like the nail is encrusted in gold; this one's pretty stunning over black too ;)

Jurdan [Folk of the Air] - inspired Jude and Cardan, this is a golden green to purple pastel multichrome with light and dark gold flakes. $12

2 coats + top coat; this isn't a series I've read yet and was jealous when Sarah told me she started (and promptly finished it ahah) but I sometimes forget that Jude and Cardan are separate characters because I seem to see "Jurdan" referenced a lot! I'm looking forward to the books and happy to have a polish from this fandom!

Zoyalai [Grishaverse] - inspired by Zoya and Nikolai, this is a blue to purple pastel multichrome full of silver microflakes and a touch of gold flakes. $12

2 coats + top coat; I was so happy for this one! It's definitely a ship I support and both versions of the polish (normal and undies) were among my favorites from the collection! This is a super chrome-y one that's either pale blue, silver or pale purple, or, you know, shifting to show all three, as multichromes do!

Reylo [Star Wars] - inspired by Rey and Kylo Ren, this is a green to pinky red pastel multichrome with light and dark gold flakes. $12

2 coats + top coat; I will admit that I barely know anything about Star Wars but do ship Reylo! When swatching, I kept grabbing Reylo and Jurdan to compare them as they both have that green glow but different shifts, and my swatches make them look pretty similar - I think seeing both colors over black is a better contrast
