Bee's Knees Lacquer - May 2019 Release; Marvel Multichromes
Are you ready for some super shifty multichromes?! Ready or not, Bee's Knees Lacquer is releasing this quad in May and it's Marvel inspired!
*Polishes provided as press sample for review*
May's release got pushed back a teeny bit, so watch your calendar for May 3rd at noon EDT!
These polishes contain a larger particle multichrome pigment, they've got a bit of extra sparkle and are the shiftiest ones that BKL has mixed up to date! Given the amount of pigment packed into them, the price is a little higher - $15 per bottle. I know that pictures often don't live up to the real deal, but I've put together a collage at the end to show the polishes at their most "extreme" color shifts as I saw them - hopefully it helps those looking to decide if these are worth adding to their collection! In my opinion, they're worth it, but I understand budgets don't always stretch as far as we'd like - but the BKL team will be keeping these stocked as long as they don't sell out, and if they do, a mid-month restock may happen!
The Sun Will Shine on us Again - a sliver/copper to green to purple multichrome. You can even see some red/pink at the extremes; I did 3 thin coats of this one + top coat (the extra amounts of multichrome shimmer should make these easy 2 coaters [and they are, per tests on Cindy lol] but I'm personally dealing with a bad streak of nail breaks and resorted to DIY overlays so went for 3 coats to compensate the extra VNL)
Finally Set Free - an aqua blue to purple to red to bright orange multichrome; 2 coats + top coat
That's On Me -a deep blue to purple to red to orange multichrome. You can even see some gold at the extremes; 2 coats + top coat
I Just Wanted a Sister - a green to blue to purple to yellow multichrome. You can even see some lime green at the extremes; 2 coats + top coat
BKL has a line of bath and body products, and I got to enjoy some, they just don't make it on the blog because I'm super unsure how to review them...oops. I'm usually like "hubby what does this smell like?" and he'll talk about all these nuances and I'm like "I like it, I wanna stick it up my nose to keep smelling it" - which is the highest ranking I'll give something ahaha
So, wax melts!! I had to force myself to cut into one to test it, and I confirmed, I do want to stick it in my nose so the smell will never leave me!! The green one is called "Rhaegal" and to me it smells "clean" with citrus fruit notes, and the blue is "We Do Not Sow" that's also a clean smell but with sweetness to it that's not overpowering. Erika of A Polished Narcoleptic - has a more detailed coverage of the wax scents, and I just want them all because duh, Game of Thrones references AND dragon eggs!
And here's the big collage I mentioned at the start, I added the individual polish names to it for easier reference:
