Bee's Knees Lacquer - Throne of Glass Quad

Happy New Year!! I'm starting off January with a catch-up post - this quad of polishes has been out for a whole month and I'm just now getting to posting!
*Press sample provided for review*
The Ilken - charcoal polish with strong red to green shimmer; $11
I used 3 coats + top coat for swatches - love the soft grey color! Reminded me that sometimes it's good to back to a neutral shade.

The Wyrdhounds - mid-toned grey polish with strong blue to green shimmer; $11

2 coats + top coat for swatches - the shimmer is really apparent in this one! I even got some purple showing up there

The Bloodhound - a deep purple oxblood with glowing red to green shimmer; $11

2 coats + top coat; you can get a darker color with another coat but as 2 coats had enough pigmentation to cover up VNL, I didn't feel the need for more

The Sea Wyvern - pale lilac full of red to green shimmer; $12

3 coats + top coat for the swatches; this is a sheer polish and on first coat I was thinking it would take 4, on second coat I realized just how much shimmer pigment is packed into it and was comfortable at 3 coats - it's very delicate and ethereal looking! You can still see the VNL in the pictures but it's less obvious irl.

And BONUS!
I was scrolling FB when I saw in a certain group (AA), a question was posed to makers - what was your favorite item for 2019? Sarah said The Sea Wyvern! So I grabbed the bottle and went to play with undier for it, in case you weren't sold on it in the original application!

First up, obviously had to be black - Void is hands down my absolute favorite black one coat polish; 1 coat black + 1 coat Sea Wyvern

Next up...nude?

1 coat Necromorph Nude + 1 coat Sea Wyvern

How about pink? Surprisingly, this combo felt like they were meant to go together!

1 coat Loser/Lover + 1 coat Sea Wyvern

Can't go wrong with another classic, a blue!

2 coats Boomslang Venom + 1 coat Sea Wyvern

All I can say is WOW! Seriously WOW :-D
