Swatch & Art: Tonic Polish - Multichrome Madness December 2017 Exclusives

Tonic Polish - Multichrome Madness Group Exclusive Trio

Hello & welcome! It's been a little while but I've got an exciting post to share! 3 brand new polishes coming 12/9/17 and I've got them on my nails!
Tonic Polish Multichrome Madness Trio

*Polishes were provided as press samples for review*
The important stuff: because these polishes are group exclusive - to purchase them, one must be a member. Go ahead and join the Facebook group Multichrome Madness if you aren't in it already, as that will allow you the ability to buy. Availability is from 12/9/17 2 PM Central to 12/31/17!

Now let's dive into the swatches!
Tonic Polish Hush
Hush - a blue/green/purple multichrome with sparkly pink/gold/green shimmers
Tonic Polish Hush
2 coats is all that's needed for full coverage with this one, actually, all of them! And top coat of course. No issues with application - if you have a Tonic Polish already - you know they're super pigmented and a tad on the thicker side, these are no exception

The shimmer is so beautiful in this one! Even though I had to shorten my nails and feel like my shorties are teeny compared to my "usual" length - all of the polishes look stunning no matter the if it's short or long nails :)

And a little bit of nail art to look festive! I used a Clear Jelly Stamper plate called "Yule Tide" for these - I purchased it through Lantern & Wren <3

Next up we have a multichrome that's also holographic!
Tonic Polish Innocence
Innocence - blue-lilac base with sparkly pink/gold/green multichrome flash and scattered holo
Tonic Polish Innocence
Look at the color shift in this one! Whoa!! And the holo is always a welcome plus ;)
Tonic Polish Innocence
So funny thing about this color - when I got my swatch mail, hubby was opening it for me and describing the colors since I didn't know ahead of time - he called this "baby purple with pink shimmer". I thought it was so cute...Hush, on the other hand, he called "teenage purple" LOL
Tonic Polish Innocence
As usual..my eternal struggled with showing off holo is dampening what this color actually looks like, grr. As more pics roll in from other swatchers, you should be able to get a better idea of it if you haven't already seen it!

And that's when I broke a nail...you can see my index is super wonky, so don't look at it! I've been struggling with breaks lately so there's been less posting as I adjust to a shorter length and less canvas space for art.  But, I used the same Clear Jelly Stamping plate for this design. I really like the hat..I'll have to do it again but in red :D

And last but definitely not least...get excited for this!!
Tonic Polish Zeppo
Zeppo - a deep purpley fuchsia/gold/green magnetic multichrome in a dark base with glowy blue iridescent flakies. Needs a magnet (sold separately or try one you already own!)
Tonic Polish Zeppo
The flakies in there are so beautiful, I just can't get enough of them! And the multichrome effect is unreal..look at this bottle! It's like some sort of galaxy in a bottle
Tonic Polish Zeppo
If you've never used a magnetic polish - they are not toppers, they're meant to go on in 2 coats, and a magnet "applied" to second coat while it's still wet. Just be careful not to touch the wet polish, and go one nail at a time, hold magnet for 10-15 seconds and voila! There will be a magnet available for sale (or one included in a holiday gift set that Tonic is releasing, in case you're planning to purchase it)
Tonic Polish Zeppo
I did try the magnet that was provided and it's super strong, but I wanted something with a little more oomph and multiple magnetic lines show off the shifty shimmers in more places. At least that's what I was trying to do - so I popped the magnetic cap off an old Essie polish I have with a fishnet scale and here's how this happened

I'd say it turned out pretty neat. The lines were much sharper when I first applied the magnet but here's something to keep in mind - the magnetic particles are in a wet polish - so while it's not fully dry..they can sort of "melt" or blue and lose their focus. Once the polish is dry and you've got topcoat in place, they won't be budging anymore but until then, there's a small risk. A lot of people expressed an interest in my magnet and I've heard that there are a lot of kits on Amazon and such with multiple patterns. So while the polish is recommended to use with a strong magnet - like the neodymiun rare earth magnet that will be sold in Tonic's shop, do try what you may already have for more variety!
