Welcome back to another Stamping Saturday post! I've missed the last couple ones so I'm trying to catch up. I did an obligatory sweater print mani this time and wish I had one like this for myself, haha
I seem to have developed an addiction to nail polish! I'm constantly talking about polish and browsing swatches and reviews. So I decided to get a blog for posting my own attempts at nail art and designs, and to give my hubby a break from having to listen to me blab all the time :) Of course, nail polish isn't ALL I'm interested in, so I think other topics and posts will creep up in here as well!

Stamping Saturday: Summer Loving
Welcome back for another Stamping Saturday! It feels like I just posted last week's mani and it's time for a new one...maybe it's because I was a few days late, haha

Stamping Saturday: Neon Watermelons
Welcome to Stamping Saturday! I picked a neon color to wear this week and enjoyed it so much! I also got some new stamping plates in the mail and couldn't wait to use the watermelon images.

Stamping Saturday: Dry brush Art
Hello and welcome to another Stamping Saturday! It's been quiet here on the blog, but on IG I've posted several new designs this week, they just haven't made it on to the blog...I just get caught up with getting the next design on to my nails that I don't take the time to blog about them. I'll try to catch up this week, but for now, here's a design I put together for Stamping Saturday and the dry brush prompt for #clairestelle8july IG challenge.
I used 3 Bonita polishes for my dry brush base - Santorini's Ocean, My Avatar, and Cocktails in Aruba.
Many of us use silicone mats for nail art, so I put mine to work this time and just dry brushed my design on there. Then a couple days later, I added a clear coat to make a decal and stuck it on my nails. Of course, you can dry brush straight on the nails, but I was wearing a pretty new polish and didn't want to take it off just yet ;) It's debatable if making a decal saves any time in the end, as it needs to be trimmed and cleaned up once on the nail, but I think it's a matter of convenience for me - when I get an idea, I can start part of the process right away and finish up later.

I got to stamp after all! So this fits the whole Stamping Saturday post ;) I used 2 colors and dabbed them randomly onto my stamping plate, to create this design. Gold is Sinful Colors Gold Medal, and the burnt reddish one is a BornPretty Store stamping polish #29 (item #23193) The stamping plate is also from BPS, it's plate BP-L008 (item #17926)
So that's in for this Stamping Saturday look! Thanks for visiting!

To be honest, I was going to skip the dry brush prompt. I noticed I'll often start a challenge/prompt and as soon as I get to something outside of my norm, or not something I can't stamp...I lose interest. The dry brush technique is pretty easy - you just need to wipe off most of the color from the brush and paint away! It even gives a somewhat textured feel if you don't topcoat it. And then I saw this mani by katv865 on IG and was inspired to actually do the dry brush, and add my usual stamping to it, because just a few days prior, I ran into these cool earrings on Etsy and made a mental note to try nail art like that. So it was a perfect combination of inspirations.I used 3 Bonita polishes for my dry brush base - Santorini's Ocean, My Avatar, and Cocktails in Aruba.

Stamping Saturday: Summer Flowers
It's Saturday and I have another stamped mani to show off today. I know it's my most used nail art technique but it's so simple and there are so many beautiful designs!I brought some plates and polish to work yesterday and did a little demo on stamping...I wonder if my coworkers will be disenchanted by my nails now that they know how easy it is!

Stamping Saturday: Winter is Coming
Hello and welcome to another Stamping Saturday! With the return of Game of Thrones I'm barely capable of getting a non-GoT related mani on, but when there's finally inspiration and motivation, why fight it and try to stick to seasonal designs? :D So here we go again with the famous house Stark words - Winter is Coming.

Stamping Saturday: Lace Gradient
Hello and welcome to today's Stamping Saturday post! It's been a bit quiet around here, sorry about the lack of posts. My nails haven't been slacking - they've stayed polished! I just haven't made it to sit down and type something up. But I wanted to share this design here.

Stamping Saturday: Blue Lace
Hello and welcome to yet another Stamping Saturday post! Yes..it is Sunday, actually, but I spent a good chunk of Saturday hanging out with my cousin, playing with polish and her new Cameo cutter. That's gotta count as a "Stamping Saturday" - right? Here's the mani I want to show off today, as a result of my trial and errors. Sometimes what I envision has a hard time realizing itself exactly, so while this wasn't my original vision - I still like it a lot!

Stamping Saturday: Fresh Daisies
Welcome to another Stamping Saturday! Today I have some bright and fresh daisies to show. After I finished the mani and was admiring it, I realized it reminds me of the Marc Jacobs perfume, Daisy Dream! Doesn't it? I don't even own the perfume but I know the bottle design is a popular inspiration for nail art.

Stamping Saturday: Coffee
Hello and welcome to another Stamping Saturday! This one is special, as it's the first time I'm doing a twin mani.
*Purchased by me* *Affiliate link*
Beatrice, Art of Polish on IG, loves coffee, probably way more than me! When we came across a coffee stamping plate she needed to have it asap! Of course, shipping, live and coordination meant we didn't get to do twin manis for some time, but here they are!Sunday, February 28, 2016
Stamping Saturday: City Skyline
Hello and welcome! I'm a bit late for the Stamping Saturday post, but I've had a busy weekend this time and just managed to sit down at the PC and review my photos. I was actually bummed my nails didn't last longer so I could do a do-over photoshoot as I wasn't too happy with how the results came out, but it is what it is. I'm still on my Nvr Enuff Polish kick so here's what I used this time: Aurora Boreapples and Town Meeting.

Stamping Saturday: Silver Roses
Hello & welcome to another Stamping Saturday! Last week when I did my rose mani, I really wanted to repeat the design and do all of them silver! So this is what I did, but I switched out the base color to a bright and happy blue.

Stamping Saturday: Lanterns
Happy Stamping Saturday! I shortened my nails a little bit, so whatever vday themed design I had in mind would need a little more canvas space than what I go at the moment, so those will hopefully make an appearance soon!
This look is inspired by Nails by Cassis - she made a Chinese lantern design a little while back and I really wanted to recreate it!

Stamping Saturday: Wallpaper gradient
This Stamping Saturday I wanted to do another gradient design that I've had in my head for a while. I think the inspiration came from nail wraps I saw a long time ago, blue to black gradient with aqua damask-like print. So here's my attempt at it!
*Purchased by me**Affiliate links*
I did blue/black gradient not too long ago, with the mermaid scale design. End result didn't show the gradient colors so I wanted to do it again and not cover up this time. Well, not cover it completely at least!

Stamping Saturday & HPB Presents: Floral Gradient
Another Saturday and another day to stamp! Today's post also doubles up for January's HPB theme of gradients. On a normal basis I do incorporate gradients into my manicures pretty often, but once this technique is part of a prompt, I was just drawing a blank as to what to do with my nails! I had a few polishes hanging out on my desk that weren't put away yet, so they became my victims in this purple floral gradient.
I know part of the country is currently snowed in, but our weather has been getting slightly warmer lately so I'm not as drawn to winter designs at the moment. Although there still a few ideas I'd like to see on my nails before the season changes to spring. Details on this design and polishes are after the jump!

Stamping Saturday: Doomfire berries
Stamping Saturday has arrived, and I've been slacking! So far 2016 is off to a slow start as far as my nails go. I made this mani last weekend but didn't get around to posting it. Partially because I was getting over a cold and just wanted to veg all day and not do anything, and partially because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to capture and show off Doomfire well enough.

What's Doomfire you ask? It's that bottle of magic I have in my hand, made by the Baroness X. Yup, it's the same brand that was featured in the mermaid mani earlier in the month. Doomfire is a custom polish made for the Baroness X fan group, using the elusive unicorn pee pigment. Simply Nailogical did a video about this pigment on YouTube, it's a fun watch if you're interested!

Stamping Saturday: Glamorous Mermaid
Welcome to the first post of 2016! It's still winter outside and we even have our first snow day, but I wanted something a bit more sparkly on my tips, and there's a polish that's been begging to come out of my helmer to play, so I obliged and the end result is pretty nice! I'm going to say it's part of my Stamping Saturday series of posts even though it's late..but things get busy over the holidays!
