I've ordered my first holo topper as soon as I realized how pretty holo polishes are - and let it sit there without use for too long....my fingers are always wearing something else and I forget to holo them, lol
So for this look I used the following polishes:
ULTA -Envy, Liquid Sky Lacquer - Holo Top Coat, Bonita - You Mint a Lot to Me
I've had Envy for years, and last week I used up pretty much my whole bottle on craft project (another dragon egg) and had to repurchase to make sure I had enough. And as you can see from the orange sticker, it's on clearance because it's being discontinued! At least I got a second bottle white there was still some left in the bins.
The Bonita polish is new in my collection - I'm moving over from purples to minty greens and picked this one up at Rite Aid.
I wore You Mint a Lot to Me for a few days with the holo topper before stamping over it. Whatever base & top coat I used this time around made the polish wear pretty well, so before taking it off I wanted to stamp over it, the green was just pulling me to use it...
Stamping done with Envy and MoYou London plate Sailor 04.
I've been meaning to try a summery/beach mani, and I think this design is actually fitting - there's more in the sea than just colorful fish, the plant life is pretty as well!
I really need to work more on my clean up and photography...close ups make me cringe, but this is all I got for now.
I seem to have developed an addiction to nail polish! I'm constantly talking about polish and browsing swatches and reviews. So I decided to get a blog for posting my own attempts at nail art and designs, and to give my hubby a break from having to listen to me blab all the time :) Of course, nail polish isn't ALL I'm interested in, so I think other topics and posts will creep up in here as well!

Stamping: Lily of the Valley
My favorite flowers that I look forward to in spring are lilacs and lilies of the valley. More than a decade ago, I got a giant bouquet of lilies of the valley for my birthday (it's in May) so when May comes around - I always look for these flowers. To my delight, grandma planted some in our garden!
Not too long ago I got a new stamping plate from Vivid Lacquer (VL019) and it has an image of this flower on it, so in the back of my mind I've been planning on doing this mani. You know how it is - you see a plate or a polish and have a picture in your head of what mani to do and you must have it right away, and the it arrives in the mail and you're happy that you have it - and put it in the box with the rest of the goodies and don't make the mani right away? Yeah...that's been happening a lot, but at least I have a good excuse - no nail art allowed at work, so I have to save it till the weekends </3

White and green were the easy colors, but what background color to use was the hard part. I was leaning towards pastels, but I'm glad I picked this blue instead! After I had applied it, I noticed how well it compliments my sapphire ring, and even hubby agreed it was a good choice <3

Dragons are coming
Viserion - cream and gold. Drogon - black and red. Rhaegal - green and bronze. Out of all these, Viserion was the easiest one to do, the stamping colors show up well enough, but the rest of them gave me a hard time, as I tried to use whatever I had, and I do not own any of the lovely MUNDO DE UÑAS polishes (yet.)
Pinkie - Revlon Timeless, Ulta Smoke Screen, stamped with Konad Special Black. MM21.
Ring finger - Julep Nicolette, stamped with Sinful Colors Gold Medal and Konad Special Black. CICI&SISI 02, MM21.
Middle finger - Sinful Colors Secret Admirer, Sinful Colors Unwrap Me, Sinful Colors Casablanca. MM21.
Index Finger - Sephora by OPI Already Famous, Ulta Envy, Konad Special Black. MM21.
Thumb - Julep Cleopatra, Sinful Colors Dancing Nails. JR-2.

Cloudy day
I really wanted to do a gray gradient, as it's been a long time since I attempted one. And of course, right as I started doing it I realized I misplaced my makeup sponges, so I had to improvise and grab a sponge from those I use in the kitchen...the yellow and green kind ><
Well, now I'll know it's still possible to do gradient, but it's not as smooth (even after topcoat) and looks a bit porous.
My grays are Revlon Timeless and Ulta Smoke Screen. I then stamped little clouds from a CICI&SISI stamping plate (which can be purchased here), using Konad Special White.
It might not be April yet, to have showers for the May flowers, but it's often rainy here, so gray skies are common :)

NOTD - Wood Grain
I was happy to discover I had a wood grain design on one of my stamping plates (Cheeky, plate D), so I didn't have to buy a plate just for that design :)
Base: Ulta On Taupe of the World (Why do I get the feeling there's a lot of polish names like this?)
