Bee's Knees Lacquer - February 2019 Release

Bee's Knees Lacquer - February 2019 Release

Hello hello! It's been a while since I've blogged but I do have new things to show off today! I feel like every January is a time for resolutions to be made, seems one of mine ends up being "I'll nub my nails an grow them out healthy!" Yeesh, it's slow growing! But a good opportunity to generously slather on the cuticle oils ahah

*Polishes provided as press samples for review*

This month Sarah is continuing her jelly + flakie polishes, so if you liked the releases in January, take a look at these as well! Let's dive in!

Arachnomancy-a deep dark moody purple full of OG UP (original unicorn pee) ghost flakes; $15
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Arachnomancy
I thought this was black when I first saw the bottle! I used 2 coats for this color, it's a jelly + flakie combo - you can see my index nail is lighter, I seem to always start light on that nail and then just kill it on the subsequent ones lol. The flakies warm this one up when the red hue shows, but the green pops really well!

Sanguinomancy-a blood red jelly full of the green to blue ghost flakes; $15
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Sanguinomancy
I used 3 coats of the polish, another jelly + flakie combo, and I totally love the ghost flakes Sarah has been adding! Just look at the sneaky blue glow peeking through at the edge of the bottle!

Dracomancy-the sister to Thestral Hair, this is a black polish with OG UP and OG UP ghost flakes ;$18
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Dracomancy
If you loved Thestral Hair from the Harry Potter Wand Cores collection, you won't need any convincing for this one! Unless flakies aren't your thing, then, that's a valid reason, but it's like having a backup bottle that's different! This is 2 coats of polish, and I struggled to get the green shift showing on camera (as vibrantly) but it kept distracting me irl while I was driving and the sun hit it at the right angle. The red though, is like tiny embers glowing from within the polish <3

Necromancy-a dark forest green with a larger particle OG UP as well as OG UP ghost flakes; $18
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Necromancy
2 coats of this delicious green, I kept thinking to myself "so this is what bottle green looks like" because it's jelly!

Glaciomancy-a mid-toned blue jelly with green to blue sibling UP as well as the green to blue ghost flakes; $16
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Glaciomancy
3 coats of this blue jelly and I am so in love! I'm always going to go back to claiming blue as my favorite color and I absolutely adore the blue/green flakies in this! You can still see some VNL in my pics but that's mainly because of the desk lamps, the polish packs enough shimmer and flake to make for a pretty good coverage. However, if VNL is a big concern, you can layer this one over an earlier release of Boomslang Venom! Or Void - black is ALWAYS an option :)

Nirnroot-this one is a little bit different as it uses a glow in the dark flake with green to blue sibling UP. It can be layered on its own in 3 coats or layered over a base color; $15
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Nirnroot
I'll admit it upfront - I read "glow in the dark" and turned into a chicken. I've never attempted to take pics of a glow in the dark polish and after snapping a few with my camera, promptly got my cell out to show that it indeed does glow! So for the swatches I layered 1 coat over Void to show it's other properties!

Abjuration-an indigo jelly with red to green aurora shimmer, a definite sister to House on Haunted Chill; $13
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Abjuration
There's nothing really to say for this one except "put it in your cart!" I may have audible wow'ed when I unwrapped this baby, it is so so pretty and the color shifts are wild! You can pretend you've got the Northern lights on your nails with this! Actually, that's a good idea for nail art! For the swatches I used 3 coats + top coat, again, the little VNL is mostly due to lamps

Luxemancy-a dusty blue with yellow to red shimmer and linear holo, the sister to Cold Anger; $13
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Luxemancy
I really hope you guys are excited for this one! Cold Anger was a VIP polish - see blog - for an event, it became really popular but to to it's VIPness nature, could not be released again. Swatches show 2 coats of the baby sister, it has linear holo instead of holo flakes but the lovely yellow/red shimmer is still there and in my swatches I caught a surprise green!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing the upcoming release & made you plan of attack! Release 2/1/19 at noon EST!

If you've been picking up  the Bee's Knees Lacquer bath & body products, you may want to imagine these new scents, they'll be available in these products: cuticle oil pens, aloe lotion, meringues, scroaps, and wax

Let's Go to the Beach-a fun beachy mix of coconut, lemongrass, and salt water

Banshees Are In-Sarah's favorite scent, this is a complex mix of tonka bean, burnt sandalwood, and sweet cotton candy

Tasseomancy-smells of all things tea: spicy chai, earthy red tea, and fruity herbal tea

Sanguinomancy-another complex one, this smells of ripe peaches, sandalwood, and floral notes of Pikake flowers

Pyromancy-spicy mix of cinnamon candies and burnt sugar

Glaciomancy-this one evokes some pretty strong childhood memories for Sarah of being home on a snow day while her grandmother bakes a treat for everyone. It's wintry skies with a hint of baking cake

Dracomancy-some dragons were thought to hoard riches and wealth so this one combines rich and clean scents: Tahitian vanilla, Scotch, brine, and a touch of caramel
