Swatch & Art: Illyrian Polish - Unicorn Horn

Welcome! I've got a short post today with just a handful of pics to show, but I was pretty thrilled at the outcome on my nail art, despite the imperfections, so let's dive in and see what I have!

For starters, let's look at my base, before we look at the Disney nail art...
Illyrian Polish Unicorn Horn
What your're seeing is 3 thin coats of Illyrian Polish Unicorn Horn - it was  part of the Halloween Potions collection.

This polish has a very very strong linear holo base that's got a slight tint which shifts between a couple colors. I would honestly call it a pale sage green the majority of the time, and it has a violet hue at extreme angles (best seen in the bottle) and this intense flash of green.

I loved everything about it! Illyrian nail polishes have spectacular shimmer/flash that I enjoy quite a lot, but the soft green of this one was also a bonus and probably my favorite aspect!

Note the metallic look in the pic above, and the pale violet creeping into the bottle pic below :D

And if you're asking where's the holo..well...forgive me, I failed in that respect. This is still a major struggle and let down for me. However, a friend and fellow blogger, Jessica Fowler, did a lovely review of the whole collection when it was initially released - please see it here! She did a great job with them all, especially Unicorn Horn

On my index nail I have the text "I put a spell on you" from plate Spooklicious 2 from Lina Nail Art Supplies. The roses and Maleficent are from plate XL193 Bundle Monster. BM released a 5 piece "Happily Never After" collection of plates, this one is called Deepest Oblivion - basically, it's dark versions of a few famous fairy tales, and this is Sleeping Beauty.
I used another Illyrian polish to color in the roses, Polaris! It will definitely have to make an appearance on the blog soon :)
